WHAT IS INDIVIDUAL CO-PARENT COMMUNICATION COACHING?

We are proud to announce that we have launched our new online Individual Co-Parent Communication Coaching program. This will allow you to be connected with an individual coach, who will walk you through how to use the weekly email communications protocol and provide great advice about how to respond peacefully to toxic communication.

HERE’S WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • Six 30-minute coaching sessions, spread out over time, as you and your coach think is best
  • Explanation of how to use the protocol and how to engage the other parent in using it, as well
  • Assistance in how to minimize conflict using the protocol, EVEN if your co-parent has no interest in doing it with you
  • Advice on how to respond to specific topics, and messages from your co-parent, to best manage conflict around them
  • Help with developing a “Plan B,” so you know what you will do to benefit your children, no matter what your co-parent decides to do

WHAT INDIVIDUAL CO-PARENT COMMUNICATION COACHING IS NOT

  • ICPCC is not therapy. Trained professional coaches will be utilized, however, they may or may not be licensed as mental health professionals. Even if they are licensed, when acting a an ICPCC, they will not be using therapeutic techniques or addressing therapeutic questions. Of course, you may find it personally cathartic, and even therapeutic, to learn these tools and skills, but keep in mind that they will only be working with you around your co-parent communication. If you have therapeutic needs, your coach can certainly refer you to other resources to assist you.
  • ICPCC is not legal assistance. We are not able to give legal advice or tell you what the risks/benefits are of seeking legal action.
  • ICPCC does not include both parents. There are other processes to help co-parents such as parenting coordination or co-parent counseling. This intervention is strictly for individuals who may not be able to engage their co-parent in a court-ordered or voluntary joint process, but who would like to learn how to fulfill their co-parent duties without losing their sanity or putting the kids in the middle!
  • ICPCC is not covered by insurance. Coaching interventions are not driven by any type of diagnosis, which is typically what insurance companies require in order to participate in reimbursing for them. However, we are pricing the sessions affordably and packing them full of information that will be easily translated into real-life situations.
  • ICPCC is not refundable. Fee is $570 for the six 30-minute sessions ($95/per session). You will pay the fee up front, and it will be up to you and the coach you choose to schedule your sessions in the future. Your coach will keep track of how many sessions you have completed and how many are pending until you finish the six sessions. If you desire to do more sessions after that, you will simply buy another block of six sessions with your coach, or another coach if you desire to change to someone else.
  • ICPCC is not legal advice, nor can we take responsibility in your court case for anything that we discuss. So, please talk with your attorney about the legal risks and benefits of using the structured email protocol in your particular case, before starting this journey.
